Zurich, September 2022 – Nevis has announced a comprehensive schedule of presentations for the it-sa 2022, to be held from 25 to 27 October at the exhibition centre in Nuremberg, Germany. As part of the largest trade fair for IT security, the Swiss specialists for identity and access management (IAM) will present the results of their annual Security Barometer report. In addition, the trade fair stand in Hall 7, Booth 7-632 and the accompanying conference schedule will focus on topics such as secure digital identities, new forms of user authentication and how to prevent account takeovers.

Why do fewer and fewer end users trust the IT security of companies? And how is it that customer perspectives differ so greatly from the assessments of IT decision-makers? Given the ever-growing threat posed by cybercriminals, these questions are of critical importance for companies. The annual Nevis Security Barometer offers answers. To kick off the event, Nevis CEO Stephan Schweizer will present the results of the representative survey to the public for the first time during his keynote presentation on Tuesday 25 October at 1:45pm (Knowledge Forum C).

Wednesday 26 October will see Nevis host its own trade fair conference from 2:30pm to 5:30pm at the NCC Ost, Room Oslo. Stephan Schweizer will open with his in-depth presentation ‘The new Nevis Security Barometer: information deficits among IT decision-makers?’ (2:30pm - 3:15pm). Elmar Reif, Head of Product at Nevis partner PXL Vision, will then address the issue regarding the level of security that non-physical identity checks can offer: ‘The truth about the (in)security of AutoIdent processes’ (3:25pm - 3:55 pm). After that, Holger Hinzmann, Channel Manager DACH at Nevis, will explain how users can take back control of their own data with the help of biometric authentication: ‘Digital identities: smart, user-friendly and still secure?’ (4:00pm - 4:25pm). Stephan Schweizer will then return to close out the event. His closing note will focus on the latest Aberdeen study on the effects of credential stuffing and account takeovers in the B2C sector: ‘Account takeovers – and how much money will you lose?’ (4:35pm - 5:25pm). Participants will then have an opportunity to network and engage in further technical discussions.

Nevis will also hold a presentation on the final day of the trade fair: Holger Hinzmann will shed light on the topic of ‘Identity theft and fraud as real threats‘ – starting at 10:45am in the Knowledge Forum C. Visitors will also be able to find information about secure, passwordless logins and IAM systems at the Nevis stand throughout the trade fair.
